Top 5 ways to make a difference this Christmas
Christmas is a time of giving, and this year there are lots of opportunities to get involved in Weston Park Cancer Charity’s fundraising efforts.
Cancer changes everything. But this Christmas, so can you.
Christmas is a time of giving, and this year there are lots of opportunities to get involved in Weston Park Cancer Charity’s fundraising efforts. The money you raise could enable research, support our transport service, or go towards our helpline. Crucially, it will help people in our region to live with and beyond cancer.
Here are five easy ways to support people living with cancer this Christmas.
Donate to our Christmas Star appeal
Every year, our incredible supporters change and save lives by donating to our Christmas Star appeal. Those who take part can create a star, which is displayed on our website. Many supporters choose to leave messages and a photo on their stars which celebrate loved ones or commemorate their own experience with cancer. In recognition of your donation, we’ll also send you a Christmas star decoration for your tree.
Become a festive fundraiser
Whether you host a Christmas quiz or a sponsored secret Santa, you can make a huge difference with a festive fundraiser. You could even organise a Christmas Pyjama day at your workplace, school, or nursery, and ask for a £1 donation from everyone who takes part.
Let us know if you’re putting on a pyjama day, and we’ll support you with fundraising resources. We may even be able to send our mascot Westie (complete with Christmas PJs) to visit your event!
Sing out in support of Weston Park
Warm up those vocal cords and get ready to spread some Christmas cheer at our Sing Under the Stars event. This year’s event will take place in Victoria Hall on the 12th of December. Attendees will enjoy a magical night, which includes choral music and brass band performances. Each ticket sold will help us to be there, at every step, for people in our region who are living with cancer.
Send a card, change a life
One of the easiest ways to support Weston Park this year is by purchasing a pack of our charity Christmas cards. There are lots of beautiful designs to choose from on our online shop. Every card sent will help us to enable research, enhance treatment and provide support.
Purchase a virtual gift
You can fund our crucial services by buying a virtual gift from the online shop. You can choose to support our helpline, transport service, hardship grants, or vital cancer research through your gift.
